Yes. DeductAble imports both kinds of ItsDeductible file: the CSV or ZIP export you saved before Intuit shut the service down on October 21, 2025, and the Excel (XLSX) or ZIP file from an Intuit Account data download if you never exported. Sign in, open Import from the app menu (under Import & Export in the web sidebar), choose Migrating from ItsDeductible?, and upload the file. Your full donation history — items, valuations, dates, and organizations — transfers in seconds, and any row that cannot be imported is listed (on the web, by organization, date, and row number).
No — the ItsDeductible login portal has been offline since Intuit retired the service on October 21, 2025. If you never exported your data, it is not lost: sign in to your Intuit Account, go to Data privacy → Download, and request your personal data. Intuit says the request can take up to 15 days and your ItsDeductible data is in the SharedData subfolder. Full steps are in our guide to what happened to ItsDeductible. DeductAble imports that Excel (XLSX) or ZIP file directly, just like a CSV you saved before the shutdown.
DeductAble exports PDF, CSV, and TXF. The PDF is a year-end report with a summary of each donation, ready to hand to your tax preparer; on Premium, it adds a Form 8283 worksheet whenever your non-cash donations top $500. CSV gives you the same data as a spreadsheet for H&R Block, a preparer, or your own records. TXF imports into TurboTax Desktop. PDF and CSV export are included on the free tier; TXF export and the Form 8283 worksheet are part of Premium ($19.99 per year).
On iPhone, yes: DeductAble keeps your donations on the device, so you can log and edit them with no connection, and it syncs to your account when you reconnect. Your records are also backed up to the cloud (encrypted in transit and at rest; receipt photos are encrypted on your device), which is how they appear in the web app and survive a lost or replaced phone. The web app needs an internet connection, and AI photo recognition needs one on both platforms. We never sell your donation data. It is processed by the service providers that run sync and AI item recognition (Firebase and OpenAI); our Privacy Policy lists every case.
There is no native Android app, but Android users get the full product: open the web app at app.deductable.ai in your phone’s browser and sign in with the same Apple, Google or email account you use on your iPhone, or your donations won’t appear. It is the same account and the same donations as the iPhone app, with ItsDeductible import, AI photo upload, and PDF, CSV, and TXF export in the browser. To keep it one tap away, add it to your Android Home Screen in Chrome: ⋮ → Install and create shortcut → Install (some versions say Add to Home screen). Imported donations count toward that limit, so bringing in several years of ItsDeductible history usually needs Premium ($19.99 per year), which unlocks unlimited donations, TXF export for TurboTax Desktop, the Form 8283 worksheet, and priority support.
Yes. DeductAble Premium exports your donations in TXF format — TurboTax Desktop's native import format — so you can bring your goods and cash donations into TurboTax Desktop (enter mileage separately), just like you did with ItsDeductible. We do not yet integrate with TurboTax Online because Intuit does not expose a charitable-donation API, but TXF export for TurboTax Desktop is the closest thing to direct integration.
No. DeductAble uses AI to identify each item from your photo and match it to an entry in a catalog — it does not invent a dollar figure. Every catalog value is human-reviewed and built on IRS Publication 561 fair market value methods, so photo capture gives you speed while every value still comes from the catalog. You review and confirm each value before saving.
Intuit has not announced plans to revive ItsDeductible, and its discontinuation notice gave no detailed reason. TurboTax Online now has a Fair Market Value tool you can use while you prepare your return, but it is not a year-round donation tracker. Even if ItsDeductible returns, DeductAble is not tied to TurboTax or any single tax platform — you can export to PDF, CSV, or TXF and use your data anywhere.
